Our story

Before there was a management company, there was a family learning through ownership.

Mallory Street grew from generations of buying, improving, holding, and operating real estate—and from the conviction that a property manager should understand the asset behind the reservation.

The through line

Treat the home like an investment before treating it like a service account.

The family’s experience extends well beyond furnished rentals. That history informs Mallory Street, but it does not expand the company’s present service list.

Today, Mallory Street is specifically the operating company for turnkey furnished short- and midterm rentals. The value of the broader history is perspective: we know that management is one chapter in the life of an asset, not the asset itself.

How we got here

01

Chapter 01

A first rental

After growing up in Elizabethton, Tennessee and moving to Virginia, Herman began buying homes as rentals. The work started with ownership: acquiring carefully, maintaining what was built, and learning what makes a property durable.

02

Chapter 02

A broader operating education

The next generation expanded the family’s experience across Virginia, Tennessee, and Texas—acquiring homes, improving and reselling properties, operating rentals, and participating in construction, development, and selected commercial work.

03

Chapter 03

Furnished homes exposed a gap

As more homes moved into furnished operation, conventional property management did not provide the strategy, responsiveness, hospitality execution, or financial visibility the portfolio required.

04

Chapter 04

Mallory Street was built from the operator’s seat

The family created its own processes and technology to solve those needs. Mallory Street became the dedicated company for turnkey furnished-rental management, serving outside owners with the same investment-first discipline.

What the history means today

Asset perspective

We ask what protects and improves the property, not only what simplifies management.

Operating judgment

We connect pricing and occupancy decisions to cost, condition, demand, and owner goals.

Built to scale

The company’s value lives in its systems, operating standards, and technology—not a personality-driven service model.

Bring us the property. We’ll start with the investment.

Give us the address and a little context. We’ll review the property before beginning a personal conversation.
